The New York Flora Association welcomes you

All interested persons are invited to join the New York Flora Association, a membership-based organization dedicated to the promotion of field botany and greater understanding of the plants that grow in the wild in New York State. Ours is a non-profit group funded largely by member dues and gifts, but we may also accept grant funds.


NYFA membership is open to anyone interested in the identification, life histories, conservation, and appreciation of New York State's Flora. Our present membership is a diverse group of botanists, naturalists, photographers, artists, horticulturalists, and gardeners. We are professionals, students, and retirees.

Memberships are available on a yearly basis (renewing in January) for $20.00 (student memberships are free the first year and $10.00/year afterwards) with benefits including field trips, the NYFA Newsletter, special events such as the Annual Meeting, and discounted prices on all workshop and fieldtrip fees (when applicable).
